If you are just beginning your yoga journey, or you are looking to refresh your foundations, YogaOne offers Yoga Basics classes to get you started at our Cedarburg, Fox Point and East Side Locations. These beginning classes offer a detailed knowledge and description of the poses (asanas) as well as an introduction to breathwork.

What is yoga?

Yoga is a powerful method of keeping your body and mind healthy. Designed over 5,000 years ago, it utilizes mental focus and deep breathing while performing a series of physical movements. Though many come to yoga for the great physical “workout”, it’s the incredible mental benefit of the practice that keeps many coming back.


Getting started.
If you are new to our studio please arrive at least 10 minutes before class to fill out a New Student Form & discuss any health or injury concerns with the instructor. You are not required to register or sign up for a “session”— just drop in. For new students we offer a 2-week Pass of unlimited classes for $30.

Beginners: Everyone can practice yoga! Wear lightweight comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement. We do provide yoga mats and props for your use, Yoga is practiced in bare feet. Start with our Yoga Basics class, no experience required. If you don't feel comfortable dropping in for our Yoga Basics Classes, you may prefer our Intro to Yoga - 3 week sessions, which is a great way to be introduced to yoga in a small and intimate setting.

Class Levels

Level 1 (Yoga Basics)

New to yoga? Start here. This class is perfect for any age, shape, or size to experience the many benefits of yoga. No experience or flexibility required. This class is ideal for students needing to move more slowly. Yoga Basics classes are offered at all three locations. If you don't feel comfortable dropping in for our Yoga Basics Classes, you may prefer our Intro to Yoga - 3 week sessions, which is a great way to be introduced to yoga in a small and intimate setting.

Classes to take are Yoga Basics, Gentle Yoga, Chair, Restorative and Yin Yoga

Level 1/2

This class will take the student deeper into all postures at a steady pace. This class is perfect for healthy beginners who want a little more than Yoga Basics.

Classes to take are Level 1/2 Vinyasa Flow Class, Viniyoga, Yoga Basics and Yin Yoga

Mixed Level
This class is a sweat and strength-based practice that will cleanse, energize and balance the body. Students will cultivate concentration, confidence, and endurance. (Recommended for students with at least 6 months of practice). Not suitable for beginners.

Classes to take are Mixed Level Vinyasa Flow, Level 2/3 Hatha classes, and all other classes available in our schedule
