Allison Cunningham
Allison came to yoga in 2009 looking to find a way to manage work related stress. Many years later, yoga has helped her to find balance, develop confidence, adopt a healthier lifestyle, and shed seventy pounds. After pursuing a master of science degree in counseling and getting certified at YogaOne under Meg Galarza, Allison began teaching yoga and mindfulness in a mental health hospital. In her classes you can expect creative sequences, a focus on alignment, and clear cueing. Believing that yoga is for every person regardless of age, weight, shape, or size, Allison likes to help all students experience poses by breaking them down into stages and encouraging students to work at their individual level. Drawing on her background as a teacher and counselor, Allison likes to use humor and compassion to create a warm, inviting, and positive space for each of her students.
